El Llano is a beautiful park located in the area of Oaxaca in Mexico where families like to come and pass time. The park is often used for temporary civic and cultural events and exhibitions and is great place to wander around or shop.
There is monument dedicated to Don Benito Juarez and one can walk and enjoy the air present in the colonial architecture of the surroundings. A sample of this architecture is the Shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe and the Chapel of Bethlehem. On the east side of the buildings are the offices of the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
The lions at the end of the park are really inviting while one can also experience a nice slice of local culture as in kids playing, exercise classes, strollers, food courts and fountains. The place offers a nice slice of Mexican culture and a variety of things to see and experience.
There is also a flea market and the park offers a small town feel in a large city. There are trees, statues and beautiful fountain where can one just sit and relax in this busy city of the country. The park is an enticing destination for kids, families and also the general tourist.
